ProSwing AI ("we", "us", "our", or "the App") is an AI-powered golf swing analysis application developed by True Compass AI. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, where it goes, how long we keep it, and your rights over it.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. Everything we collect is used solely to deliver the App's coaching features to you.
Swing Video Frames
When you analyze a swing, the App extracts a small number of still frames (typically 18) from the recorded video. These frames are sent over HTTPS to our analysis server hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS, us-east-1, United States). The frames are processed by AI to generate the coaching analysis and are deleted from our servers automatically within 24 hours. The original video remains on your device.
Student Names and Coach Branding (Pro plans)
Pro subscribers can tag swings with a student's name and add their own name and facility to shared report cards. This information is stored only on your device and in your private iCloud database — it is never sent to our servers. Student names and coach branding appear only on reports you explicitly choose to share, and you control who receives them. If you record another person's swing, you are responsible for obtaining their consent (see "Recording Other People" below).
Coaching Results
Your analysis results — scores, written feedback, coaching goals, and metric breakdowns — are returned from the server and stored in your private iCloud database (CloudKit). They are not accessible to other users or to us.
Anonymous Device ID
An anonymous UUID is generated on first launch and stored locally on your device. It is sent with API requests to authenticate communication with our server. It is not linked to your name, email address, Apple ID, or any other identifying information.
Subscription Usage
We track how many analysis sessions you have used in the current billing period, stored locally and in your private iCloud database. This is used to enforce plan limits. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment card information.
What we do NOT collect: Location data, contacts, browsing history, Apple Health or HealthKit data, financial information, audio or microphone data, or any data from other apps on your device.
We share data with the following services only as necessary to deliver the App's features:
Your swing history, coaching results, and any student names are stored in Apple's CloudKit private database — they are tied to your Apple ID and iCloud account and are not accessible to us or to other users. Video frames sent to our server are transmitted over HTTPS and are deleted automatically within 24 hours of upload.
If you use the App to record someone other than yourself — for example, a teaching professional recording a student's swing — frames of that person's swing are processed by our analysis service in the same way as your own. You are responsible for informing the person being recorded and obtaining any consent required in your jurisdiction, both for the recording itself and for sharing any resulting analysis or report cards.
Your coaching results and swing history remain in your iCloud account for as long as you keep the app installed or until you delete them. Video frames sent for analysis are deleted from our servers automatically within 24 hours. You can delete all data at any time using the "Delete My Data & Account" option in the App's Settings screen, which removes your CloudKit records. ProSwing AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Our analysis server is hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-1). By using the App, you acknowledge that your swing video frames will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
